Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, making up 1/3 of our bodies protein. It is one of the major building blocks of our skin, muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen is also found in many other body parts, such as blood vessels, corneas, and teeth.
Collagen production in the body starts to decline in our early 20's and often our bodies cannot produce enough collagen on it's own. This can contribute to signs of aging such as wrinkles, joint pain, and a slower metabolism.
